Fall 2025 Coach/Machine Pitch Baseball

The Spotsylvania County Little League (SCLL) Coach/Machine Pitch Baseball program is designed for young athletes, ages 6-8, who are ready to build upon the foundational skills introduced in Tee-Ball. This program emphasizes skill development in a slightly more structured environment while introducing players to the dynamics of live gameplay.
Key Features:
  • Skill Development: Focused coaching helps players refine their throwing, catching, hitting, base running, and fielding skills.
  • Coach/Machine Pitch: Coaches or pitching machines deliver pitches to ensure consistent and hittable balls, helping players build confidence at the plate.
  • Game Understanding: Players learn the fundamentals of game strategy, including positions, basic rules, and teamwork.
  • Encouraging Environment: Emphasis is placed on sportsmanship, effort, and enjoyment, making it a positive experience for all participants.
Season Overview:
  • Practices and games occur 2 times per week, blending instructional sessions with game play.
  • Teams typically consist of 10-12 players, allowing for balanced participation and attention.
  • Games include outs and base running but do not heavily focus on competitive outcomes.
Who Can Play? The Coach/Machine Pitch Baseball program is for boys and girls who will turn 6 and will not turn 9 before August 31 of next year (2026).
